Dream Hotel Group, which includes Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal and soon-to-launch Unscripted Hotels brands, announced its plan to triple its existing portfolio by 2022.
Today, Dream Hotels Group saw the opening of 16 hotels today. By the year 2020, the company plans to open nine hotels in new destinations. Currently, the brand has a pipeline of 26 properties, including the aforementioned nine new locations, which, when open, are expected to bring the company's total property and room count to 42 and 10,034, respectively. With its plan for the new hotels, Dream Hotel Group is on track to triple its existing portfolio by 2022.
The news follows that of the summer launch of Dream Hotel Group’s newest lifestyle brand, Unscripted. It will open its first location in Durham, North Carolina in July 2017. Unscripted Durham is a 74-room boutique hotel located in the Downtown neighborhood of Durham, North Carolina. According to the hotel's groups official website, the Unscripted Brand was created as an accessibly-priced alternative to the "sea of homogenous products in the upscale hotel space." The accommodations focus on creating better living/working environments with amenities that are not necessarily common among hotels, including color therapy, advanced lighting, foam mattresses and a sleep-to-wake system that uses light to stimulate dawn.
Dream Hotel Group additionally signed nine new hotel deals in the last six months, including:
- Dream Oceanami Villas & Spa (Vietnam) – Fall 2017
- Unscripted Cocobay Da Nang – Fall 2017
- The Chatwal Lodge – Late 2018
- The Chatwal Maaga Maldives – 2019
