Espacio The Jewel of Waikiki is opening on Waikiki Beach, Hawaii on September 7. The boutique hotel offers just nine multi-bedroom suites—each occupying an individual floor.
Personal butlers are available to guests who can request, for example, advance copies of Hawaiian literature, private viewings of art, culinary experiences featuring uncommon, sought-after ingredients, and private screenings with famed filmmakers.
In each 2,250-square-foot, three-bedroom, three-bathroom suite, iPads control the lighting, temperature and provide location-based technology for personal service requests and concierge recommendations. Espacio has no set check-in or checkout times, making it possible for guests to arrive and depart at their own preference. Additional amenities include access to a luxury fleet of cars and in-suite chef-service on demand.
Globally sourced works of art adorn the rooms. The dining room tables, imported from Carrara, Italy, are built from a whole marble slab. Chandeliers and lighting accents handcrafted in Morocco are complemented by hand-knotted, high-grade Persian carpets.
Distinct suite features include:
- Ocean-view balconies equipped with Jacuzzis
- Spa-like bathrooms with private dry-saunas and Bulgari products
- Designer kitchens stocked with guests’ favorite snacks and beverages upon arrival
- A discreet elevator entry
At fine dining restaurant Mugen, chef Jason Yamaguchi’s serves Japanese-French cuisine. Seafood is delivered from Toyosu, Japan’s most famous fish market. Libations available include rare Japanese whiskies, high-end sake, and a 500-bottle collection of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) wines (valued at more than $5 million).
The rooftop jacuzzi, infinity pool and poolside bar offer view of Hawaii. The onsite, full-service spa will pamper guests offers diamond-infused skincare products and treatments. Rates begin at $5,000 per night.
