Slated to open in March as a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this private island resort will have 80 contemporary villas situated on both the beach and over the lagoon. Faarufushi is accessed by seaplane (a 50-minute flight) from the international airport.
To make the most out of this island playground, Faarufushi Maldives will have a dive center and water sports facilities. The Faarufushi reef is teeming with marine life, making for abundant opportunities for guests to explore this colorful underwater world. Also on the itinerary: Sunset sails, dolphin watching, deep sea fishing excursions, kayaking and paddle boarding.
Feeling lazy? Relax by the infinity pool or head to the hotel’s Nika Spa, designed as a garden oasis with six treatment rooms surrounded by lush greenery. (You’ll also be able to appreciate the gardens from the outdoor lounges and hydro pool.)
