Following a multimillion-dollar renovation of the Fairmont hotel and beach club at the Mayakoba development in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, Fairmont Residences Mayakoba—the resort’s residential component developed by RLH Properties—has announced the sales launch of the property’s final phase of development. This last piece of the master plan comprises three new buildings and accounts for the final collection of residences offering full ownership. The first of these buildings will be completed as early as winter 2023.
The sales launch coincides with the sellout of all previous phases of full-ownership offerings at Fairmont Residences Mayakoba, which included 34 residences across seven buildings. Also nearing sellout at Fairmont Residences Mayakoba are three buildings from the previous phases that offer co-ownership (part of Fairmont Heritage Place Mayakoba, the brand’s co-ownership program). Development for one more co-ownership buildings with Room 1804’s vision is underway, with construction expected to complete in spring 2024. Residents can enjoy the benefits of second homeownership without the hassle of year-round upkeep or the commitment to one locale. They can trade usage at another Fairmont co-ownership destination or at other Fairmont Hotels, Raffles Hotels and Resorts, Swissotel Hotels and Resorts and select Sofitel properties.
Kappner Clark, chief marketing officer at RLH Properties, said the homes were designed with "entertaining in mind," meaning they offer plenty of living areas and space to lounge and dine outside. Square footage for the residences range from 3,400 to over 6,200 square feet. Residents will enjoy open-concept main living areas with floor-to-ceiling retractable glass walls and spacious terraces. The outdoor spaces have private plunge or swimming pools, plus views of the jungle and golf course.
Additionally, buyers at Fairmont Residences Mayakoba and Fairmont Heritage Place Mayakoba enjoy two private pools and a children’s club that are exclusive to residents. They will also have full access to the adjacent Fairmont hotel. The renovation includes the revamped beach club, Maykana, with its new beachfront pool, El Cielo rooftop bar, the new signature restaurant Gaia, feet-in-the-sand experience in Fuego grill, La Laguna restaurant and main family pool, Bassano the Italian restaurant, Café Maya, Hix Lobby Bar & Lounge, Tauro Steakhouse, spa and fitness center, and 401 hotel rooms.
Another perk of owning real estate at Mayakoba is the access to the rest of the 600-acre oceanfront community. The development includes over 25 onsite restaurants, a PGA Tour golf course, four spas, scuba-diving center, “El Pueblito” Town Square and a bookable VanDutch private yacht, to name a few.
