The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is encouraging guests to visit this fall to experience what some locals think is the best time of year in the region. From cooler weather to colorful foliage, fall at the California resort means smaller crowds than both the summer and winter peak seasons. To celebrate the season, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is offering autumn-inspired programming, including culinary specials and seasonal spa treatments.
Culinary Specials
The 32nd annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival is set to take place September 8-10 but guests can continue the festivities at the resort’s signature restaurant, Manzanita. The Flavors of Fall ($85 per person; $105 with wine pairings) is a four-course tasting menu crafted by Manzanita chef Roman Garcia. It showcases different seasonal ingredients each month, including foie gras, pumpkin, root vegetables, and truffles.
For those who are more inclined to celebrate the wine harvest, Wine Wednesdays at the resort will offer half off select bottles of wine. Private tours of the wine room are also available when guests dine in Manzanita.
One of the most popular events at the resort is the Champagne Brunch ($69 per adult and $19 per child ages three to 12). The seasonally focused menu includes a chilled seafood display, carving station, salads, cheese and charcuterie, along with breakfast favorites and desserts, and of course, an unlimited Moët & Chandon and Bloody Mary bar.
The Epicurean Weekend is set to take place Saturday, October 7 and Sunday October 8 and will include a variety of festive activities and culinary events such as a pumpkin-themed champagne Brunch ($69 per adult and $19 per child age three to 12). There will also be a pumpkin patch in The Backyard (à la carte pricing) where guests can pick pumpkins and participate in make-your-own candy apples, hot apple cider, pumpkin painting and more.
Spa Specials
The Ritz-Carlton Spa will be offering several specials throughout the season. Guests have the option of $129 treatments (Monday through Friday) including a 50-minute Relaxation Massage, 50-minute Custom Facial, or 85-minute Ultimate Manicure & Ultimate Pedicure.
The special Almond & Pumpkin Body Wrap ($195 for 50 minutes) will make any spa-goer feel festive – and relaxed. The treatment includes a soft exfoliation with an almond and mineral scrub followed by a wrap of oranges and pumpkin, then finishing with honeydew body lotion, and organic almond spice tea by Mighty Leaf. There’s also an Almond & Pumpkin Manicure and Pedicure ($75 for 40-minute manicure or $45 for 45-minute pedicure) using the same products.
It’s never too early to start holiday shopping and during the Black Friday Trunk Show on Friday, November 24, guests can get up to half off select retail items as well as specially priced spa treatments in the spa lobby.
