Fauchon Hospitality has signed its third property, which will be located at the Diriyah Development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The hotel division of the Fauchon food purveyor, Fauchon Hospitality debuted its first property in Paris in September 2018, followed by a second in Kyoto in March 2021.
The Fauchon L’Hôtel Riyadh will be in partnership with owner Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) and operator Yakoon Hospitality International. The property will be situated within the new project at Diriyah Square, which will comprise a mixed-use heritage, tourism and lifestyle destination. In total, there will be 16 five-star luxury hotel brands in the two-square-mile neighborhood. (Other options will include a Rosewood, Baccarat, LXR Hotels & Resorts, Orient Express, Raffles and The Ritz-Carlton, among others.)
Guests can expect 80 guestrooms and suites, as well as The Grand Café Fauchon, a spa, a rooftop outdoor pool and bar, and a Fauchon boutique. The existing Fauchon L’Hotel in Paris and Fauchon L’Hotel Kyoto have color schemes of magenta, black and gold, along with in-room “Gourmet Bars.” Fauchon delicacies are complimentary throughout a guest’s stay and are customized before arrival, according to guests’ taste preference.
Diriyah, additionally, will offer a collection of museums and cultural attractions, an ultra-luxury retail offering, and a lineup of international and local dining brands. At the heart of Diriyah is the UNESCO World Heritage Site At-Turaif, which is the original home of the Saudi Arabian royal family and the country’s first Saudi State.
