Four Seasons Hotel Houston is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the completion of a multi-year, multimillion-dollar transformation.
The hotel, which opened on April 15, 1982 in downtown Houston, is just steps from entertainment and sports venues, and a short drive from Museum District. The initial phase of the hotel’s transformation included enhancement of the lobby and front drive, the spa and fitness center; and the addition of Bayou & Bottle, Bayou & Bean and the Topgolf Swing Suites.
All 289 guest rooms and 103 suites have been transformed. The hotel’s 12 specialty suites, including the State, Ambassador, Presidential and Penthouse suites have been enhanced with custom-designed furnishings. The 1,570-square-foot Presidential Suite and the 1,935-square-foot Penthouse Suite have been redesigned to incorporate open layouts. An in-suite gym with weights, Peloton bike and interactive fitness MIRROR is ideal for guests who want a private workout. The Presidential Suite can be extended to a two-bedroom configuration, while the Penthouse can be extended to a three-bedroom accommodation.
The hotel’s one-, two-, and three-bedroom Residential Suites are additionally equipped with modern kitchens, separate living areas, and washer and dryer. Ranging from 800 to 2,126 square feet, these suites are ideal for extended stays and family getaways.
Toro Toro, the new pan-Latin steakhouse from chef partner Richard Sandoval, offers guests a twist on the contemporary steakhouse experience with pan-Latin influences and Asian dishes. Located on the third floor of the hotel, it is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The newest addition to Four Seasons is Bandista, an intimate, modern-day speakeasy, reminiscent of a 1920s lounge with a Latin vibe. Guests of the 20-seat bar and lounge enjoy inventive and artistic interpretations of classic and contemporary cocktails, as well as rare international spirits. Reservations are required and are extremely limited.
On the shopping front, as the first Krigler perfume store in Texas, the new apothecary-style, 800-square-foot boutique is located in the hotel’s lobby. It offers perfumes, scented candles, soaps and a workshop where guests can make scented candles and perfumes on-site. They can also create a bespoke fragrance or candle.
Good to know: The hotel’s 16,500 square feet of event space has been redesigned. A new Grand Ballroom with 150 percent more gathering space has been created. With the addition of sliding partitions, the hotel’s meeting rooms can be separated into smaller spaces, providing groups with flexibility. The spaces are also equipped with the latest audiovisual technology.
Tip: The hotel is offering all dinner guests of Bayou & Bottle and Toro Toro a complimentary Sparkling Ruby cocktail through April 30, 2022. Guests can also avail of the Third Night Free package, which includes a complimentary third night with every two consecutive paid nights.
