This summer, travelers can take a road trip through the French Riviera and Italy behind the wheel of a vintage car. For the second year, Four Seasons Hotel Milan, Four Seasons Hotel Firenze and Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel are offering the “Ultimate European Road Trip: En Route to La Dolce Vita.”
Throughout this fully customizable experience, guests can drive a 1960 Giulietta Spider, a 1958 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Cabrio, or a 1956 Porsche 356A Speedster while experiencing each Four Seasons property in the south of France and Italy. Travelers can start the experience at any of the three locations, and a dedicated concierge will help create an itinerary, recommending the best stops along the way. The Four Seasons service continues throughout the journey, as a personal driver follows behind guests as they cruise through the Tuscan countryside and French Riviera, stopping at shops, restaurants and landmarks.
Located in the heart of the fashion district, Four Seasons Hotel Milan is a 15th-century convent transformed into a luxury resort where guests can relax in the secret garden and landscaped inner courtyard, or head out and explore Milan’s boutiques, antiques shops, galleries, and more.
During their stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, guests can explore one of the world’s oldest cities, Florence. Additionally, couples can take a break from the road with a secret dinner held in the palazzo where the Mona Lisa was painted.
The Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons Hotel is an ideal spot to enjoy the French Riviera. Housed in a palatial mansion on the Côte d’ Azur, the hotel offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean, right in between Nice and Monaco. To enjoy a Michelin-starred Mediterranean meal, travelers can dine at the resort’s own restaurant, Le Cap.

Modena

Fontanellato
Fontanellato is a small town on the plains of the Po river. Travelers can see the moated fortress of Rocca Sanvitale, a well-known stronghold in the center of town that dates back to the 15th century. The fortress saw its richest period when owned by the Sanvitale family in 1400. A visit to the Labirinto di Fontanellato, which is the biggest labyrinth in the world, can be arranged as well.
Vigoleno
Travelers can also visit Vigoleno, a small fortified village in Piacenza, Italy that sits high atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the valleys below. A castle in the center of the village, which dates as far back as the 1,100s, contains historical remnants and artifacts for guests to explore. Guests may recognize the village, as it was the set of the 1985 film, “Lady Hawke,” with Matthew Broderick, Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer.
