Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero has opened Weather Permitting, a seasonal pop-up bar on the hotel's 40th-floor terrace — and the name is a wink at exactly what the experience depends on. The Michelin Two-Key property is running the open-air concept Friday through Sunday, 3 p.m. to sundown, with cocktails crafted by the hotel's lead bartenders.
The draw here is the vantage point: panoramic views taking in the Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, and the sweep of the Bay itself, making the terrace a natural setting for sunset cocktails and golden-hour gatherings. The menu is built around the Bay Area, with seasonal cocktails, premium wines, and zero-proof options.
"Weather Permitting is about celebrating San Francisco at its most beautiful – long fall evenings, sweeping views, and great company," said Janet Wruck, general manager for Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero. "We're thrilled to offer a unique open-air experience that brings together exceptional beverages and one of the most stunning vantage points in the city."
For clients making a weekend of it, the hotel's Experience More Offer adds a $100 hotel credit per stay in a guest room or $250 per stay in a suite, applicable toward dining at Orafo, drinks at Weather Permitting, or other on-property experiences.
