Grand Hotel Tremezzo has announced that it will reopen on April 1. The family-owned property, helmed by third generation CEO Valentina De Santis, is inviting guests to enjoy new fashion experiences, such as meeting the designers and families behind the new Sense of the Lake boutique. Guests will also have access to a new, bespoke wellness series which includes wild swimming and “WOGA”—yoga on a floating “water on water” pool.
The hotel will also introduce guests to a t lakeside fish restaurant, Giacomo al Lago, in partnership with the Giacomo group. The recently renovated L’Escale is the property’s signature restaurant where guests can enjoy fine dining. La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi honors the late founder of contemporary Italian cuisine. It is amongst just a handful of restaurants that are allowed to serve his signature dishes and culinary creations inspired by Marchesi’s style.
In addition, De Santis has curated a new “Sense of the Lake” experience, showcasing the best of Italian craftsmanship and tradition. An extension to Grand Hotel Tremezzo’s e-boutique, Sense of Lake, guests can meet with the talented teams and families behind the products featured in this curated collection. Featuring artisan Italian accessories, fashion and homeware, these “Sense of Moda” experiences will offer a peek into the craftsmanship behind each item—from visits to a Como silk factory with the opportunity to create their own silk scarf at Mantero silk factory to meeting with the owner of BRICS luggage to see what inspired them to start the business.
The property is also unveiling new wellness experiences such as sunset yoga or meditation in the L’Escale garden. The team can also curate a bespoke “movement itinerary” comprising mountain bikes, wild swimming, personal training and “WOGA” on the WOW pool, complemented with a range of soul (and muscle) soothing therapies such as Silvotherapy in the grounds of Villa Sola Cabiati. Other highlights include an invigorating hammam lipolytic ritual, a sleep ritual which draws on the natural calm-inducing properties of the plants that grow nearby and a selection of pampering-with-purpose massages and facials using bespoke products from Officina Santa Maria Novella.
Guests can also enjoy tours of the hotel’s 18th-century Villa Sola Cabiati (sister private villa to Grand Hotel Tremezzo).
