Half Moon will mark its 65th anniversary this year with a "six-for-five" promotion and a range of additions to its property. The Jamaican resort has already opened a new vegan café and plans to add 57 guestrooms and suites, more beachfront space, an adults-only swimming pool, three bars and two restaurants.
Guests booking a stay at Half Moon can now reserve six nights for the price of five and receive a range of additional benefits. Perks of the six-for-five deal include transfers to and from the airport, one round of golf at the resort’s 18-hole course, a treatment at the Fern Tree Spa and a complimentary cocktail every evening.
Recently opened, Ital Café serves vegan smoothies and meals. By the end of the year, Half Moon plans to introduce another two culinary offerings: The Great House Restaurant, an all-day buffet option, and Delmare, the resort’s new higher-end seafood restaurant.
When Half Moon began 65 years ago, it started out as a 35-acre property consisting of just a hotel and some cottages. The now 400-acre resort features a team of over 830 associates. The hotel employs Jamaica’s longest-serving tourism worker, Wordsworth Watson, who recently marked 60 years with Half Moon. The Montego Bay resort is situated just a 10-minute drive from Sangster International Airport.
