The Hodelpa Nicolas de Ovando Hotel, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site in the Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo, announced the inauguration of its new Imperial Club. According to the hotel, the Imperial Club is Hodelpa’s answer to the growing demand for exclusivity for its guests.
To make the club an exclusive space, owners built an elevator for the sole use of the Club, accessed through one of the hotel’s gardens, which enters directly into the Club’s lounge. The space includes a mix of contemporary design accented by classic case goods and curated art.
Throughout the day, Club guests may enjoy a tasting bar of Brugal rums and other libations and soft drinks, with an afternoon service of daily changing tapas from Dominican Chef Martin Omar. Twelve high-category rooms and suites in the Club overlooking Don Diego Harbor and the National Pantheon are available, and butlers are on hand to accommodate guest inquiries.
Room categories include Club Imperial, Suite imperial, Superior Colonial and Deluxe Imperial, and amenities and services include a welcome cocktail and cold towel upon arrival; a fruit and cheese plate or bottle of wine; 100 percent Egyptian cotton bed linen and choice of pillows; 30-minute complimentary massage; coffee, tea and hot chocolate throughout the day; continental breakfast; personalized wake up calls with coffee and weather forecast; a Bluetooth sound system; and, for those with a vehicle for exploring the city, a courtesy car wash.
