Carbon-neutral Hotel Belmar in Costa Rica has unveiled its room renovations completed this summer. NAAS Interior Culture led the project in partnership with local designers, enhancing the guest experience with a subtle balance between contemporary design and the hotel’s forest surroundings. The renovated rooms sport natural materials such as sustainable wood and organic fabrics, alongside low-VOC paints and a palette of subdued colors.
Nearly all of the eco-lodge’s 26 rooms were renovated. The enhancement and upgrades to the rooms create spaces that invite visitors to bask in natural light and enjoy the sounds of the forest as they transition seamlessly between indoor comfort and the outdoors. A highlight includes the remodeled Sunrise Room, which offers a private balcony with views of the cloud forest and the Nicoya Peninsula.
The design team also integrated local art and craftsmanship throughout the hotel, celebrating the cultural heritage of Costa Rica. The renovations reflect Hotel Belmar’s commitment to environmental stewardship, offering guests a luxurious stay that aligns with the principles of responsible travel.
