From the Lutetia to the Brach, Paris continues to dazzle the hotel nerds among us with exciting new hotels. Can the cool factor possibly go up? The answer is a definite oui. One of the most buzzed about openings of the year—guaranteed to shake things up on the Left Bank—will be JK Place, the first property outside of Italy for the uber-stylish group that’s a favorite of the fashion set.
Adding to their portfolio (Florence, Capri, Roma) was not a business to be taken lightly. JK Place reportedly spent five years scouting the Parisian real estate scene before settling on the former European Consulate at 82 Rue de Lille—sandwiched between Boulevard Saint Germain and the Seine in the 7th arrondissement. (The Orsay Museum is a stone’s throw away and the Tuileries Garden is just a jaunt across the river.)
Slated to open in Spring 2019, JK Place Paris will have 30 guestrooms and suites decorated by designer Michele Bonan with bespoke Italian furniture, objets d’art and antiques sourced from the famous Paris flea markets, like the Marché des Puces de Saint Ouen to the north of the city. There will also be a spa by top French brand Sisley with a swimming pool. (Other Sisley spas in France can be found at luxury resorts like Baumanière and La Bastide de Gordes—situated in Provence.) The dining outlets, in partnership with Casa Tua, will also propose culinary classes with renowned chefs.
Stay tuned for more details about JK Place Paris.
