Along the coast of the Mediterranean, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo is showing off a brand-new look after undergoing a four-year, top-to-bottom renovation. After a soft opening in December, it celebrates its grand opening this month.
Room capacity has been reduced, which helped make room for the new, two-level suites: The Princess Grace Suite and The Prince Rainier III Suite, each of which has an expansive rooftop terrace and a pool. Tip: The Princess Grace Suite sports impressive views of the Med and the Prince’s Palace; it even offers personal elements from her life, including original pieces of art and books.
This renovation also produced new dining options — old restaurants renewed, and new ones opened. Foodies can dine in antiquity at Le Grill, which was once frequented by Grace Kelly. Le Grill is known for its Grand Marnier Soufflé, a part of the menu since 1898.
For a newer option, diners can visit Ômer. Famed chef Alain Ducasse has expanded his repertoire to create a restaurant with a Mediterranean-inspired menu with shared dishes, such as Levantine mezes, Turkish dolmas, Lebanese falafels, Greek marinated sardines and more. Lastly, Bar Americain, known for its live music and signature cocktails, was refurbished.
A new spa has a hair salon and wellness and fitness area. Good to know: Hôtel de Paris is appropriate for both couples and families. As parents experience its amenities, kids can head down to the nearby Monte-Carlo Hotel’s Marmorata Kid’s Club for cookery workshops, music, swimming and more.
