When the Hotel Lutetia in Paris reopens this spring after a four-year closure, it will offer perks only to guests who book their stay through Virtuoso. The benefits include guaranteed upgrade upon booking (excluding One-Bedroom Suite and above), guaranteed early check-in and late check-out, $120 hotel credit, daily American breakfast for two, choice of return transfer or Discovery of St. Germain des Prés tour (for Deluxe Room stay or higher), welcome amenity of wine and cheese, and Wi-Fi.
Opened in 1910, Hotel Lutetia remains the only palace hotel on the Left Bank of Paris. Located in the St. Germain neighborhood among galleries, boutiques and nightlife, the hotel is moments away from Le Bon Marché, the world’s first department store. In the 1930s, the hotel became a notable attraction, welcoming visitors like James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway, and residents including Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse.
The renovation will honor the building’s history while adding modern designs and amenities. Of the 184 rooms, one quarter will be suites, including seven individually designed suites and a penthouse. Curated art and photography will decorate each room.
The redesigned Hotel Lutetia will offer a variety of eating and drinking establishments. The Lutetia Brasserie will have 180 seats split across two levels and a new internal courtyard adjacent to the famed Salon St. Germain will offer light dining for up to 40 guests. Those looking for a night out will enjoy the Jazz Bar Aristide, and a Cigar Bar with a private club atmosphere. The Akasha spa, extending over 7,500 square feet, will provide fitness and relaxation options together with a 57-foot indoor pool.
Hotel Lutetia is the latest luxury property to debut with assistance from the Virtuoso Preview program, which offers benefits only available to clients of network travel advisors. Preview is part of Virtuoso’s Hotels & Resorts Program, which includes more than 1,200 properties in over 100 countries.
