Hotel Lutetia, a Set Hotel in Paris, will re-open its doors on July 12, following major renovations that revamped every aspect of the property, from the design and interiors to the gastronomy and service. Located at 45 Boulevard Raspail, in the St. Germain-des-Pres area of the Left Bank, the hotel was originally opened in 1910 by the Boucicaut family, founders of Le Bon Marche. Acquired by The Set, the hotel was closed four years ago for a period of restoration and refurbishment.
The reopening will unveil the work of architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Lutetia now has 184 keys, spread over seven floors, including 47 suites, which is a reduction from its original total of 233, allowing for larger rooms. Seven signature suites, including a two-bedroom Presidential suite and two penthouse suites with private terraces offering 360-degree views of Paris will be the signature accommodations of the revamped property.
The opening will also bring to light the Bar Joséphine, the Salon Saint-Germain, the Orangerie, a lounge and open-air courtyard, and the Salon Crystal, all under the stewardship of executive chef Benjamin Brial.
In addition to these spaces, and in keeping with its history as a landmark in Saint-Germain society, the famous Lutetia Brasserie will reopen in September under the care of Gérald Passedat, who currently holds three Michelin stars in France.
The reopening will also introduce the new Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre, a 7,500-square-foot spa offering six treatment rooms with an array of treatments and massages; a sauna, steam room, plunge pool, infinity edge Jacuzzi and large fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment. Bathed in natural light, the 55-foot-long swimming pool completes the experience.
