Housed in the 19th-century Louvre post office building, Paris’ Hôtel Madame Rêve is a must-visit for art-lovers, with 800 pieces of mail-inspired artwork lining the walls in tribute to the building’s heritage. As part of a new collaboration with Musée du Louvre, guests can experience a tour inspired by “Madame Rêve” herself (rêve translates in English as “dream”). The bespoke tour package, available until the end of summer, includes a one-night stay and access to the Louvre, located just a few minutes’ walk away.
Created by the museum’s curators, the tour will guide guests through the Louvre’s galleries, showcasing a selection of masterpieces. Exploring "how dreams free us from reality and plausibility," the tour reveals how artists have responded to this throughout history—from Giotto’s depiction of the dreams of Pope Innocent III, to Fragonard’s sleeping Venus, besides depictions of Morpheus, a Greco-Roman god associated with sleep, rendered onto the ceiling of the museum. Guests can follow the map in their room or enjoy a private guided tour organized by the concierge at Madame Rêve for a more personalized experience.
The hotel offers 63 rooms and 19 suites, either overlooking a vertical sky garden or the Parisian cityscape. Located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, the heritage building is bordered by streets lined with cafés, restaurants, designer boutiques and galleries such as the Pinault Collection, and within walking distance of the Tuileries Gardens.
At La Plume Rive Droite, guests can indulge in a fine dining experience where Chef Benjamin Six combines Japanese culinary traditions with French flavors. The curved marble bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a signature aperitif, with views that can be enjoyed from every corner of the restaurant.
Madame Rêve’s ROOF, designed as a suspended garden blossoming with cherry trees, is set to reopen this month. Guests can take in views that have inspired generations of artists, from Toulouse Lautrec to Vincent van Gogh. Inspired by architect Gustave Eiffel, the rooftop venue offers cocktails and panoramic sunset views.
