FTC Hotel Kaihatsu Co. and Okura Nikko Hotel Management have announced
the December 2017 opening of the newly rebranded Hotel Nikko Oita Oasis Tower. Currently operating
as Oita Oasis Tower Hotel, come December, the property will be managed by the Nikko Hotels
International brand.
Hotel Nikko Oita Oasis Tower is the tallest building in the Oita Prefecture of Kyushu Island—the
southernmost of Japan’s four main islands. The hotel itself is a brief, eight-minute walk from JR Oita
Station and close to the Oita Prefectural Art Museum. The commercial complex that houses the hotel—
Hiroba 21—also contains the Oita Prefectural Culture Center and the local bureau of Japan Broadcasting
Corporation (NHK). From its upper levels, the hotel provides panoramic views of downtown Oita, Beppu
Bay, Kunisaki Peninsula and Mt. Yufu, in addition to three different dining options.
Hotel Nikko Oita Oasis Tower is the latest addition to the Okura Nikko Hotels collection, which currently
contains 72 hotels and 12 branches around the world—47 in Japan, 25 overseas. The newly rebranded
hotel anticipates great benefits by joining this international network, such as Nikko Hotel Management’s
centralized reservation network. This system enables reservations for Hotel Nikko Oita Oasis Tower to
be made through a central reservation office in eight different languages.
The rebranding of Hotel Nikko Oita Oasis Tower marks Okura Nikko Hotel Management’s ninth hotel
property on Kyushu Island. The greater Hotel Okura network encompasses nearly 23,000 guest rooms.
Following this rebranding, the hotel will undergo a partial renovation as part of its transition to the
Nikko Hotels International style of hospitality.
