The InterContinental Dublin hotel has renamed three of its most spacious suites after well-known Irish writers, poets and dramatists. The three suites—The James Joyce, The William Butler Yeats and The Lady Gregory—have recently been refurbished with new silks, carpets and soft furnishings in muted tones.
The James Joyce Suite, formerly the hotel's Presidential Suite, is the largest suite. It offers nearly 2,700 square feet of space, a master bedroom, a living room with a fully stocked bar, a dining area that can host up to eight people and a separate kitchen, which is ideal for entertaining guests. The suite also has a four-piece Italian marble bathroom with L'Occitane amenities, paired with Joyce’s famous Lemon Soap from Sweny’s Pharmacy.
The James Joyce Suite also has a balcony with views over the historic neighborhood of Ballsbridge and Dublin skyline. Tip: The suite has the option to become a three-bedroom suite with interconnecting rooms, ideal for a family getaway.
The hotel has also renamed one of their Junior Presidential Suites after Lady Gregory who was the co-founder of the Abbey Theatre and friend of WB Yeats. The Lady Gregory Suite is roughly 1,800 square feet in size with a master bedroom, living area, kitchen and dining table able to accommodate six people. The large suite offers three balconies with views overlooking the inner courtyard garden and Dublin skyline.
Travelers can experience literary Dublin with The Lady Gregory Package that offers an overnight escape in the refurbished suite with a bottle of champagne on arrival, full Irish breakfast in Seasons Restaurant, and a private bespoke tour of The Abbey Theatre. Guests can finish their afternoon with Classic Afternoon Tea in The Reading Room and enjoy complimentary use of the Health Club and Thermal Suite.
