Silvestre Nosara is a quiet, luxury hideaway with beachfront access to one of the best surf breaks in Nosara, Costa Rica. The residential-style hotel is officially opening its doors in January 2024 with just nine residences, including a four-bedroom rooftop penthouse, an exclusive tropical rooftop lounge serving coffee, cocktails and small bites from local purveyors, family-friendly amenities, and a studio space set to host speakers, curated classes and wellness sessions. Set on Playa Guiones, the property is just steps away from Nosara’s restaurants, shops, bars and yoga studios.
Silvestre has a modern design that blends into the lush jungle surroundings. Each of the residences will offer Le Labo amenities and full kitchens with natural stone floors. Cold plunges and saunas will be available in select accommodations. Inspired by its destination and community, Silvestre aims to help travelers "foster authentic connections and self-discovery" through mindful programming, fitness and wellness classes, and a speaker series, which kicks off in February with Dan Buettner, author of “Blue Zones."
A surfer’s dream, Playa Guiones offers over 330 days per year of rideable wave conditions. Guests receive a custom performance surfboard from Bali-based shaper Jim Banks to use during their stay, and private or group surf lessons can be arranged at the property’s onsite surf school. The residences also each have a unique surfboard wall decor from Marbella-based shaper, Douglas Evan.
In addition, a stay at Silvestre includes complimentary airport transfers, classes for both adults and children in their studio space and electric bikes. Groups can also add grocery delivery, private chef dinners, babysitting, ecological tours, massages and shopping at an additional charge.
With a team of environmentalists behind the property, Silvestre minimizes environmental impact through design, water conservation, insulation and energy-efficiency. Silvestre has also partnered with several local non-profit organizations, including Costas Verdes to support coastal ecosystem restoration through reforestation projects, and Bomberos de Nosara, where guests can participate in tree planting and volunteer opportunities.
