JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa has opened, marking the debut of the brand in the Pacific region. Travelers who wish to explore the Gold Coast's most popular visitor attractions will find the resort conveniently located close to Surfers Paradise Beach, Sea World, Dream World, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and many more must-see destinations.
"Despite the challenges from ongoing international air travel restrictions, we have nevertheless seen strong demand within the luxury hospitality segment this year,” said Sean Hunt, area vice president, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, Marriott International, in a press statement, adding he is “greatly encouraged by this."
At the hotel, there are 223 guestrooms and suites and have natural color palettes and materials. JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa also has six new food and beverage venues, which offer a diverse range of cuisines, locally sourced produce and sophisticated bar menus. The signature restaurant, Misono, inspired by the famous Harajuku laneways, offers an Japanese dining experiences including an intimate Izakaya sushi bar, tearoom and whisky bar with an outdoor terrace. The resort’s all-day dining restaurant, Citrique, serves fresh local produce and seafood and has a show kitchen where guests can enjoy live cooking presentations. Forming part of Citrique, JW Market is the hotel’s café and provedore, serving coffee and grab-and-go bites. Located in the lobby, Chapter & Verse is a lounge by day and a bar in the evenings, with indoor and outdoor seating. The resort highlights its commitment to naturally inspired dining through its JW Garden, which offers fresh, local ingredients for farm-to-table dining experiences, hands-on cooking classes and specialty drinks.
There’s also both a saltwater lagoon and a freshwater pool. The lagoon pool is encircled by sandy beaches and tropical gardens with a waterfall. Guests can check into one of the private cabanas that line the lagoon edge, while poolside cocktail delivery from the Pool Bar is available, as are light meals, snacks and other refreshments. Spa by JW offers customized treatments to provide a holistic approach to wellbeing. Guests can also participate in a series of five to 10-minute relaxation rituals and activities daily, such as guided meditation sessions, that will leave them feeling nourished and revitalized in body and soul.
In addition, Family by JW programs ensure the resort’s youngest guests are engaged in fun and creative experiences during their stay.
