Looking to take the entire family to New Zealand? Robertson Lodges will open three new Residences at Kauri Cliffs this November.
While identical in floorplan, each of the four-bedroom Residences will have a different décor by acclaimed New Zealand interior designer Virginia Fisher. Food is intended to be a highlight with farm-to-table cuisine prepared by private chefs; the Residences also have a family-sized kitchen and casual dining island.
All four bedrooms have large wardrobes, en-suite bathrooms and direct access to verandas. The master bedroom offers views of the farmland, golf course and Pacific Ocean.
Good to know: Guests can take a private golf cart to the main lodge — just a short drive away — to enjoy the resort’s tennis courts, walking trails, private beaches and the fitness center. Adventure-seeking guests can take part in onsite activities, such as surfing, ATV excursions and fishing with a local guide.
The Residences at Kauri Cliffs also offer a covered veranda and a private 25-foot salt water swimming pool.
For those who are looking to explore off-property, a top option is helicopter flightseeing to the twin coasts of Northland. Stops can include ATV Quad Biking on a 90-mile beach and immersive walks in the Waipoua Forest (where travelers can encounter the kauri tree Tane Mahuta, lord of the forest on Maori legend). Another pick is a full day of sailing in the Bay of Islands onboard a luxury catamaran; this experience includes marine mammal sightings, island-hopping-and-exploring, kayaking and paddle boarding.
Reservations manager Robyn Younger (reservations@kauricliffs.com; 011-649-407-0010) can assist with booking the Residences and excursions.
