Kempinski Hotel & Resort Yanbu is scheduled to open later this year. The property will have direct access to the Red Sea waterfront on the secluded offshore of Al Mahar Island and part of the port city of Yanbu. Following a total closure during the coming months, the existing sprawling complex will be renovated and repositioned for guests.
In keeping with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the property will cater to business and leisure travelers alike. Welcoming visitors from the cities of Jeddah or Al Madinah who seek community club-like experiences, the property will also welcome guests from further afield. Be it a getaway for couples, families or a meeting with colleagues, the hotel will offer facilities and activities suited to their needs.
The building plan includes a reduction in the number of deluxe rooms, resulting in 23 additional suites, complementing the 12 villas and 48 designer apartments. The property will also have five restaurants and lounges, an infinity pool, a fitness center, a private beach, a marina, a diving school, and meeting and events spaces. A separate 32,292-square-foot Ladies’ Spa with its secluded beach, steam baths, hammam, treatment rooms, restaurant and tea lounge, as well as a future Royal Villa round off the offerings.
Guests can explore Yanbu’s myriad attractions: While in the old town, an important post along the spice route, they can visit a typical Hijazi building where the British military officer T.E. Lawrence lived; they can go for a stroll in the night market Souk Al Lail; they can explore the tropical gardens around Yanbu Lake; and go diving in the coral-rich bay of Sharm Yanbu. Guests can also go on guided tours to Mount Radwa. Located in the north-east of the city, it rises to 7,218 feet—the highest point in the Al Nakhil Mountains.
The future Kempinski Hotel & Resort Yanbu is just 20 minutes away from Yanbu International Airport.
