Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has officially opened the doors to Kimpton Tres Ríos – All Inclusive in Mexico’s Riviera Maya.
Yes, it’s the boutique hotel brand’s first-ever foray into the all-inclusive world. No, it’s not your basic all-inclusive with endless buffet lines for food that has been sitting in warmers for some time and watered-down cheap alcohol.
Set along the Cancún-Tulum corridor near Playa del Carmen, the IHG-affiliated resort which sits within a 340-acre nature preserve invites you to think a little grander. With three freshwater rivers, 10 cenotes, mangroves and eco-trails providing a pretty spectacular backdrop, guests can get stuck into kayaking and guided nature experiences.
If the vibe is more about taking life slowly and enjoying the pleasure of doing absolutely nothing, then they can opt for floating without a care in the world in any of the four outdoor pools.
The impressive natural surroundings don’t stop at the front door, making its way inside all the way through to the rooms which range from mangrove-view rooms to multi-bedroom suites and a Presidential Suite, with some of them offering direct pool access.
Turning to food, guests will be spoiled for choice, with seven restaurants and five bars including Italian fare at Bacetto, Asian flavours at Kotori, Mediterranean restaurant Elaia and adults-only rooftop bar Nebbia which will join the line-up in early 2027.
After all the fun at the bar, guests can take relaxation beyond the pool into the resort’s 10,000-square-foot Kej Spa which offers hydrotherapy, massages and beauty treatments in addition to rituals inspired by Mayan traditions, including temazcal and a cenote-themed signature treatment. There’s also a two-storey fitness centre, while families can take advantage of Club Aventuras and dedicated beachside programming.
Familiar Kimpton touches such as its evening Social Hour will also be present but this time, guests won’t need to reach for their wallets afterwards.
