Kudadoo Maldives Private Island by Hurawalhi is set to open this December.
There are just 15 overwater residences on the all-inclusive resort: 13 one-bedroom Ocean Residences, measuring over 3,200 square feet, and two two-bedroom Ocean Residences of nearly 9,000 square feet. Each offers a dedicated butler, super-king-sized beds, in-villa baths, Bang & Olufsen audio systems, IPTV and private sundecks with a pool. Note: Kudadoo also offers facilities for guests’ personal and household staff to be accommodated.
Kudadoo touts its reef as one of the most abundant and undiscovered in the Maldives. A resident marine biologist is available to educate guests about the inhabitants of the surrounding seas, where guests can swim with manta rays, turtles and dolphins. Other activities include kite- and wind-surfing, blue-light snorkeling, paddleboarding, jet skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, scuba diving (with sharks!) and deep-sea fishing for sailfish or marlin (all included).
The Kudadoo Wellness Retreat has an “Anything, Anytime, Anywhere” theme, so guests get complimentary signature spa treatments wherever and whenever they wish. The spa has a Himalayan Salt Room, a steam room, a sauna and treatment rooms with views of the water. A personal trainer, yoga instructor and meditation guru are at the disposal of guests.
The restaurant serves “unscripted” dining prepared by personal chefs; guests can choose whatever they want to eat, whenever and wherever they want to eat (we say, opt for in-villa, under the stars or even on a deserted sand bank). Nice Touch: The restaurant has an owner’s wine cellar and — our favorite — a dedicated cheese room. A separate bar and games room overlooks a freshwater infinity pool and the beach. Note: The contents of the wine cellar are not included with the rates, but it does offer a two-seat table for romantic evenings.
Hurawalhi Private Island — five minutes away by private speedboat — has land activities, such as tennis, badminton and beach volleyball, as well as access to its 5.8 Undersea Restaurant and the Aquarium Restaurant. Note: Both Kudadoo and Hurawalhi are owned by Crown and Champa Resorts; the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant is not included with the nightly rate.
Kudadoo Maldives Private Island by Hurawalhi on Lhaviyani Atoll is 40 minutes by seaplane from Male International Airport. It’s available for adults and children over the age of 15, unless rented exclusively. For VIP enquiries, contact Nina Torosyan (bdd@kudadoo.com), director of sales and marketing.
