Langham Hospitality Group has announced that it will manage its third luxury hotel in Australia. Opening this year, The Langham, Gold Coast will have 169 rooms and suites; the group will also manage the Jewel Residences by The Langham, which consists of 170 serviced apartments.
Located on the beachfront in Surfers Paradise, the hotel and serviced apartments are in the central and tallest of the three landmark towers of the Jewel development. It is the first and largest development with direct beach access to be built in the coastal city within the past 30 years. The Langham, Gold Coast is located between the third and 20th floors, while the residences are on the 22nd to 49th floors. From the Deluxe Room to the Presidential suite, the property offers a range of accommodation to suit guests on corporate or leisure stays. All 32 suites at The Langham tout views of the Pacific Ocean.
The property will offer several restaurants, including a casual “grab and go” café, a lobby lounge, a pool bar and a podium sky terrace with bar overlooking the ocean. T’ang Court, the signature Cantonese restaurant, will extend the reputation of its Michelin-starred counterparts at The Langham hotels in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The restaurant will have two private dining rooms, while the main area seats 90 guests.
Good to know: The Palm Court at The Langham, Gold Coast—modeled after its namesake at The Langham, London—will serve the brand's signature afternoon tea. For a more casual experience, the all-day dining restaurant serves international cuisine. There is also a pool bar and an 80-seat outdoor bar which offers views of the Pacific Ocean.
On the wellness front, the 5,382-square-foot Chuan Spa will offer treatments inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophies. It will comprise seven private treatment rooms, a health and beauty center, and a fitness center, besides indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
Guests staying at The Jewel Residences by The Langham can enjoy full access to the hotel’s facilities. These apartments have living and dining rooms, kitchens and private balconies with city or ocean views. Suitable for couples, families or big travel parties, the apartments offer the option of one, two, three and four bedrooms.
