Whether you’re in Las Vegas for leisure or business, there’s no need to give up your quest to maintain a lifestyle that’s graced with wellness. Here are three resorts with spas and fitness center retreats where you can escape the buzz of the casino floors or the intensity of a long day in a meeting room.
The W Las Vegas launched its AWAY Spa a year ago and since then it has reported strong success with its “Vegas Baby” massage, which includes a hydrating body wrap and a scalp and full-body massage. For couples’ treatments, the “Massage A Trois” is frequently requested; the treatment includes an exfoliating bath soak, a hydrating body wrap, and a scalp and full-body massage for two at $680 for 125 minutes.
The AWAY Spa lobby provides an immediate sense of place, “W” style; it has bright pink lighting and “energizing” ambient music for an “instant sensory stimulation.”
In the treatment rooms, guests can choose between sensual green or soothing white LED lighting. Each room also offers two music playlists — one designed to energize and one to relax.
W Las Vegas’ spa guests looking to unwind and rejuvenate can choose between sensual green or soothing white LED lighting in the treatment room.
Management credits the strong feedback on the spa’s energizing treatments because they aid recovery following a night of debauchery and fun in Sin City. After a few hours of detoxing in the spa, they’re able to go right back out and do it all again.
What we love: The spa’s lounge provides Nespresso shots for those who want to get back in the game right away.
It’s more about detoxing, however. Travelers can continue their yoga sessions from home by heading up to the WET Deck Rooftop for classes; they can also request a private session through the hotel’s concierge or through Shane Upson (Shane.Upson@whotels.com), the director of AWAY SPA.
Upson helped create the spa’s treatment menu keeping in mind the specific needs of Vegas guests, who would likely be overworked, under-slept or partied out. As a result, other signature treatments also include the Vegas Vegan facial and the“Stoned” hot stone massage. Upson formerly worked at Bliss spas at the W South Beach Miami and the W Los Angeles West Beverly Hills.
Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas looks all set to open the Reviv IV Wellness Spa. Shown here is a Wraparound Terrace Suite at the hotel.
Here’s a fun travel tip to keep on your radar: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is opening the Reviv IV Wellness Spa any minute. Reviv is known globally for its IV therapies and booster shots, which could certainly be in demand following a long night of partying. Management, however, says the treatments will also appeal to those who are simply suffering from dehydration, inflammation, vitamin deficiencies and the after-effects of a fun night out in Las Vegas.
The facility is on Level 2 of the resort and has a wellness lounge with full-body massage chairs, as well as private and group treatment areas that have televisions and iPads. Did we mention the views of the Las Vegas Strip?
Note: If you plan to be a steady guest of Reviv, book a stay in the Boulevard Tower, as those rooms are the closest.
Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace has three Roman baths, one of which is shown above, that use the ancient healing powers of water.
The Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace has been in “wellness” mode for quiet some time and is constantly evolving its treatments to keep up with guest demands. This is a serious facility; it has 48 treatment rooms in total, two of those are couples rooms.
Couples, in fact, are a big focus here; they can request a custom experience that combines facials, body treatments, hot stones, aromatherapy, chakra balancing and “energy work.” There’s also the “Kama Sutra with Shirodhara Couples Ritual,” in which warm botanical oils are slowly poured onto the “third eye” chakra, easing the guest into a state of tranquility. That’s followed up with a coconut sugar scrub, a private shower for two and then, finally, a hydrating massage.
If you’re not going the couples’ route, a “Gemstone Facial” might be just the ticket; it uses gemstone serums to exfoliate the skin and that’s followed up with a crystalline gemstone mask.
Seen here is one of the 48 treatment rooms at the spa.
Want to eat healthy during your spa-cation? The resort is home to Pronto by Giada from celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. We suggest you grab some takeaway, such as the California chopped salad with grilled shrimp or some of Giada’s Oatmeal (it’s topped with almonds).
Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill has healthy choices, such as his Steamed Halibut or Ancho Chile-Honey Glazed Salmon. And then there’s Nobu Restaurant Las Vegas, which has Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño and Black Cod Miso.
After all that, it might be time to head over to the fitness center; it’s 5,500 square feet in size and has all the latest in equipment.
