Las Vegas is synonymous with opulence and indulgence. Resorts in town are always trying to one-up each other to show off the most impressive room, restaurant, club — you name it. Here, we’re focusing on some of the top new suites in Sin City.
Palms Casino Resort
This spring, Palms Casino Resort debuted the Empathy Suite, a Sky Villa designed by and featuring the works of Damien Hirst. For $100,000 per night (minimum two-night stay), guests will be able to enjoy the 9,000-square-foot, two-story suite with specially designed furniture and textiles that incorporate Hirst’s signature “spin” designs, butterfly and pharmacy motifs. Throughout the suite — including in the floors, headboards, pool tiling, curtains, pillows and seatbacks — guests will find pops of color in butterflies that contrast with the gray color scheme of the suite. Elsewhere — such as in the bathroom and living space adjacent to the bar — you will spot pill designs that provide bright spots. Original pieces by Hirst include: Winner/Loser, two bull sharks suspended in formaldehyde in a white tank set into the wall of the suite; Casino Royal, a 10-panel collection of his butterfly motifs on monochrome gloss-painted canvases; a medicine cabinet called Vegas; The Winner Takes It All, a vibrant pool table; and more.
As far as amenities, the Empathy Suite has a cantilevered pool overlooking The Strip, as well as a Jacuzzi; there are also several loungers on the veranda. Inside, is a 13-foot curved bar, looking out to the pool. Hanging above the bar is another Hirst original: Here for a Good Time, Not a Long Time, two vitrines — one containing a marlin skeleton, the other a taxidermy marlin. The bar is flanked by two lounge and media areas, accommodating up to 52 guests. A dining area seats eight.

In the two master bedrooms are California king beds, spacious closets and bathrooms with double vanities. Did we mention there’s also a private healing salt room, two massage rooms and fitness room?
Good to know: Guests staying in the Empathy Suite also receive 24-hour butler service, over-the-top welcome amenities, a behind-the-scenes art tour of the suite and entire property, chauffeured car service throughout the stay and A-list access to Palms’ premier amenities, such as KAOS Dayclub & Nightclub, the Pearl Concert Theater and the Palms’ recording studio, and a $10,000 credit to utilize at the resort.
The Empathy Suite designed by Damien Hirst joins the hotel’s other five Sky Villas, all of which have been completely updated from top to bottom by Bentel & Bentel Architects as part of an ongoing $690 million, resort-wide refurbishment. Palms Casino Resort, as part of the upgrades, also debuted themed suites, such as the Kingpin, Hardwood, Cinema and Real World Suites.

Good to know: Billy Idol’s exclusive residency returns in October at the Pearl, while country trio Lady Antebellum return to the Palms in August.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
If you’re one who isn’t shy to partying, the Bungalows at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas may be an ideal accommodation. Renovated in 2016, the three-story suites overlooking the Marquee Dayclub Pool show off contemporary sophistication in its patio furnished with a kitchenette and bar, media lounge, Jacuzzi and round-the-clock butler service.
On the first floor of the 2,580-square-foot suite, guests will find a media lounge complete with all the latest in technology — and plenty of seating, perfect for hosting your own private parties. On the third-floor terrace, there is a sleek, outdoor kitchenette and bar, as well as a private heated plunge pool. Good to know: While the kitchenette doesn’t offer enough to prepare your own meals, you can have your butler arrange for in-room dining from all resort partner restaurants.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ three-floor Bungalows have their own media lounge and terrace with a kitchenette, bar and heated plunge pool.
Your butler can also handle all laundry or valet services, packing and unpacking, steaming and pressing of garments. They can also secure tickets to shows and book dinner reservations.
The master bedroom, located on the middle floor, comes complete with a king-size bed, boudoir, lounge area and vanity. The en-suite marble bathroom has a double shower and deep soaking tub.
Good to know: All guests of the Bungalows must be over 21 years old.
Another suite option at The Cosmo is The Chelsea Penthouse, the top accommodation on property. Each penthouse suite has crystal-encrusted wall textures, an art collection and rich, hand-woven fabrics. These accommodations range in size, starting from 2,400 square feet and are available in two-bedroom (up to four guests) and three-bedroom (up to eight guests) configurations. Each also has floor-to-ceiling windows, a wet bar and a kitchenette with serving space. Tip: Several offer terraces, so be sure to book one of these.
In December, The Cosmo debuted several of its “standard” rooms and suites, but we’re quite fond of the Wraparound Terrace Suites. These one-bedroom suites offer views of The Strip and have a wet bar with a Sub-Zero wine chiller. Yes, please.
Before heading down to Marquee (or your other evening plans), be sure to get cleaned up (and get a buzz) at The Barbershop, Cuts & Cocktails, a fully functional grooming salon complete with a prohibition-inspired cocktail program with a heavy focus on whiskey. Other new F&B venues include Red Plate, which serves traditional, multi-regional Chinese cuisine, and Block 16, a modern food hall that comprises District: Donuts. Sliders. Brew; Lardo, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken; Pok Pok Wing; Tekka Bar: Handroll & Sake; and Ghost Donkey, a tequila
and mezcal bar.

Paris Las Vegas’s St. Tropez Suite has deep-set windows, ornate chandeliers and custom accent pieces.
Paris Las Vegas
Paris Las Vegas also underwent a property-wide renovation. In 2016, the resort updated 1,300 guestrooms and it recently just finished the remaining 1,600 — at a price tag of $90 million.
The top suite option here is the St. Tropez Suite. This room, which was part of the 2016 upgrades, combines classic European elegance with modern flair, as splashes of vibrant blue complement the brown-and-white color palette. The spacious suite has separate living, dining and sleeping areas, while the marble bathroom offers a separate shower and whirlpool tub. Additional highlights of the suite include deep-set windows, ornate chandeliers, large, flat-screen TVs and custom accent pieces.
More recently, Paris Las Vegas debuted the Charlemagne Suites. A unique feature of the Charlemagne Suites is they are located at the end of the hotel wings, so all of these suites offer multiple views, including the Eiffel Tower replica (whereas most other suites at the resort only have a single view).
The Charlemagne Suite (here) is spread over 1,000 square feet of space and has views of the Eiffel Tower replica.
Good to know: Paris Las Vegas is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and are hosting a myriad of celebrations from August through October, making it a great time to visit. With that, the resort also debuted a new Eiffel Tower Light Show that runs every half hour from sunset to midnight. For bookings, contact Judy Ruffini (jruffini@caesars.com), luxury sales manager and travel industry liaison.
What else is new at the resort? Paris Las Vegas unveiled the new 25,000-square-foot Voie Spa & Salon this spring. French for “way,” Voie Spa & Salon offers a wide range of treatments that include specialized bathing experiences to detoxify the body, signature sound therapy massages and hydra-cleansing treatments tailored to individual needs. In the salon, guests can enjoy specialty plant-infused hair rituals, as well as manicure and pedicure treatments.
Looking to indulge at the spa? Consider the two-and-a-half-hour Voie Luxe Escape. The custom treatment includes a soaking in a Thalassotherapy bath, a personalized exfoliation treatment based on your skin type, a pink salt stone massage, a body wrap, face mask and scalp treatment.
