Here’s a new property for Leading Hotels fans to check out: the Paradisus Los Cabos has joined The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW). As a member of LHW, the property joins a collection of boutique luxury hotels comprised of more than 400 properties in 80 countries.
The all-inclusive beachfront resort is Paradisus by Meliá’s fourth hotel in Mexico. It opened in December 2016 25 minutes from San Jose del Cabo International Airport, set on one of the few swimmable beaches in the Cabo corridor. The resort has 14.5 acres of grounds, 350 guestrooms including 98 Royal Service Suites with butler service, 30 Family Concierge Suites, and 28 Ocean View Swim-up Suites, as well as adults-only butler service and family-focused concierge service. Other amenities include four swimming pools, seven bars and seven restaurants, as well as one of the largest convention centers in the destination, with over 13,500 square feet of meeting space next to a private golf course. Restaurants run the gamut from Naos (international buffet) to Bana (contemporary Asian), Market Grill (Italian-Argentinian), Mole (modern Mexican) and La Palapa (exclusive poolside Royal Service grill). For an additional cost, guests can dine at Gastro Bar by Martin Berasategui, which serves cuisine by eight Michelin star-rated chef Martin Berasategui. The resort also has a spa, signature wine cellar, 24-hour room service and complimentary Wi-Fi access.
The new LHW designation is the latest addition to Los Cabos’ luxury hotel space. Just this May, Viceroy opened the Viceroy Los Cabos after a redo of the Hotel Mar Adentro, which is famous for its design by noted Mexico-based architect Miguel Angel Aragones. Next up in June was the opening of the Montage Los Cabos, voted one of our hottest hotel openings of 2018. This September, Solaz, A Luxury Collection Resort is set to make its own Los Cabos debut, while, looking further ahead, 2020 will see the first property from Aman Resorts in Mexico: Amanvari.
