The Leading Hotels of the World Unveils Summer 2025 Collection

The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) has added 10 new members to its portfolio. From a desert idyll in Mexico to the first LHW property in buzzy Georgia, the collection continues to cater to the curious traveler in established and emerging destinations around the world.

Americas

Paradero Todos Santos, Baja, Mexico: Set within five acres of Baja farmland, Paradero Todos Santos offers 41 suites with private terraces with hammocks or outdoor soaking tubs. Rooftop suites have “star nets,” allowing guests to sleep beneath the desert sky. The open-air Living Room serves as a communal hub, while the 130-foot infinity pool and Ojo de Agua Spa offer relaxation and rejuvenation. Dining at Tenoch, led by Chef Eduardo Ríos, combines modern Mexican cuisine with Japanese influences.

Europe/Asia

Hotel Gabrielli, Venice, Italy: Situated on the promenade of Riva degli Schiavoni and looking across the tranquil Venetian Lagoon, Hotel Gabrielli is slated to reopen in August 2025. Nearby the Piazza San Marco, this historic palazzo—first welcoming guests in 1856—is undergoing a meticulous restoration. It houses 66 rooms and suites, the Caffè Gabrielli Restaurant, offering Venetian cuisine, the K Lounge Bar and a nearly 6,460-square-foot private garden. A spa and rooftop terrace are also available, while a private dock grants arrivals by water.

Vista Ostuni, Puglia, Italy: Opening this summer, this retreat is the latest project from the Vista Collection, the independent Italian hospitality group helmed by the Passera family. It is situated on the whitewashed hilltop of “La Città Bianca,” where ancient streets meander towards the Adriatic Sea. Housed within the walls of a restored 14th-century convent, the property offers 28 rooms and suites, indoor and outdoor pools, and a 3,810-square-foot spa. Gastronomy is elevated by Michelin-starred chef Andrea Berton, who curates the flavors of the region across Berton al Vista, Bianca Bistrot and the rooftop bar. The LEED Gold certified property is set amid nearly five acres of ancient olive groves and gardens.

The Telegraph Hotel, Tbilisi, Georgia: Overlooking Tbilisi’s Republic Square, the hotel is housed within the landmark 1970s Central Post Office. Opening this month as the first Georgian member of LHW, the 239-room property has been designed by the Neri & Hu studio. Guests can enjoy six culinary venues—from rooftop cocktails with city views to Thai street food, Italian classics and reinterpreted Georgian cuisine. The hotel also offers immersive cultural experiences, a jazz club, a wellness studio and event spaces.

Château de Théoule, Théoule sur Mer, France: Situated on the shores of the Côte d’Azur, Château de Théoule was once a private residence for French nobility and originally a 17th-century soap factory. There are just 44 rooms and suites, each offering views of the Mediterranean Sea. At Mareluna, Chef Francesco Fezza presents a Michelin-recognized culinary experience, blending Mediterranean and Japanese influences.

Grand Forest Metsovo, Ioannina, Greece: High in the Pindus Mountains, this retreat offers travelers the chance to explore the land through outdoor pursuits—horseback treks beneath pine trees, canyoning through rock gorges and other mountain excursions. The hotel’s suites have fireplaces, bespoke marble baths and views across gardens and forested peaks. Guests can savor hearty mountain fare with an elevated touch and local ingredients.

Palacio de Sancti Petri, Chiclana, Spain: This Neo-Mudejar palace is situated along Costa de la Luz. At this seaside resort, guests can enjoy breakfast in the sunlit courtyard and fresh seafood prepared by Michelin-starred chef Ángel León at the beachfront Chiringuito. As evening falls, the private stretch of La Barrosa Beach offers sunset views. Other highlights include the Spa by Clarins and five championship golf courses. Guests can also enjoy tailored regional expeditions in a private Audi.

Grand Hotel des Étrangers, Siracusa, Italy: Set within a neoclassical palace on the island of Ortigia, this hotel has 68 individually designed rooms and suites, many of which frame views of the Ionian Sea. At Clou, inventive Sicilian cuisine pays homage to local traditions while embracing modern flair. Situated steps from the ancient Fonte Aretusa, the hotel also has terraces where guests can enjoy coastal vistas along with F&B offerings.

Pensione America, Forte dei Marmi, Italy: Set along the seafront of Forte dei Marmi, this villa was first built in 1899 and transformed into a pensione in 1922. Following a restoration, the adults-only retreat now has 18 individually designed rooms and suites, lush gardens and an emerald-green ceramic and marble outdoor pool. Guests have access to a private beach club with cabanas, seaside dining and attentive service. Beyond the tranquil retreat, the cultural treasures of Lucca, Pisa, and the Cinque Terre await, making it a good base for exploring the destination.

Africa

NgoroNgoro Lodge, Tanzania: Located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, and part of the Meliá Collection, this lodge has 60 rooms, including 24 suites and a private villa complete with a personal chef and butler. Guests can take in views of the nearly 1,970-foot-deep caldera. The lodge’s architecture combines African craftsmanship with contemporary design. Facilities include three restaurants and a heated infinity pool, the first of its kind within the crater. Guests can enjoy personalized safari adventures, engage with Maasai culture and enjoy sustainable luxury at this retreat.
