Lotte New York Palace Reopens August 10 With New Offerings

Lotte New York Palace has announced new exclusive programing, coinciding with its August 10 reopening. The program includes a new collaboration with medical and public health expert Dr. Robert Amler, as well as the “A Room of Your Own” initiative that guarantees the same exact room assignment for frequent travelers during each visit to Lotte New York Palace.

Medical Consultant Service

As a leader in public health and 25-year veteran in government health administration, Dr. Amler’s knowledge brings an individualized approach to the reopening of Lotte New York Palace as the hospitality industry navigates through new operating standards. Through its collaboration with Dr. Amler, Lotte New York Palace has formulated a program that meets health and safety measures consistent with current guidelines. In addition to his consultancy with hotel leadership across operations, housekeeping, culinary and events divisions, Dr. Amler will be available to key hotel partners as they look for guidance to resume travel.

Currently, Dr. Amler serves as the vice president for government affairs at New York Medical College and dean of the School of Health Sciences and Practice, and Institute of Public Health. Previously, he was a chief medical officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), a veteran of CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service, a supervisory disease control investigator of viral diseases and environmental toxins, and a senior advisor to the U.S. Surgeon General and other top agency officials.

Reopening Cleaning Protocols

Beyond its collaboration with Dr. Amler, the hotel is taking the extra measures to ensure guests’ safety and comfort, including pre-arrival consultations to discuss arrival times and housekeeping preferences, using only Environmental Protection Agency-approved disinfectants as recommended by the CDC, providing personal sanitation kits, and implementing social distancing practices. Additionally, the hotel is ensuring that all food and beverage outlets are in full compliance with guidelines established by the National Restaurant Association, The Food and Drug Administration Food Code and the EPA. Employees are screened upon arrival, given personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are laundered daily. All employees are being trained in advanced protocol for sanitation and personal hygiene in adherence with the CDC and the Hotel Association of New York.

A Room of Your Own

For those who stay multiple nights each week, Lotte New York Palace now guarantees exclusive access to the same exact room during each recurring visit. Beginning in August, the hotel will assign a permanent room number for frequent travelers, meaning that no other guest will be permitted to check in to that room at any point in between each visit. As an added convenience, guests are also invited to leave their belongings in their assigned room between stays to cut down on packing and unpacking time.

The program is available for stays starting August 10, 2020 through the end of the year, based on availability

Located on Madison Avenue in Midtown, The Palace is minutes from some of the city’s most prominent businesses, restaurants, attractions, cultural institutions and shopping destinations.
