Heiko Kuenstle, general manager of New York’s Lowell Hotel, announced that Ernesto Floro has been appointed as the property's director of sales and marketing. In his new role, Floro will oversee the marketing and sales not only for the 74-room hotel, but also for the popular Majorelle restaurant and Jacques bar, as well as The Pembroke Room.
In a written statement Kuenstle said Floro is joining the property as it prepares to put the finishing touches on a $25 million renovation with the relaunch of The Pembroke Room with a new outdoor space.
With over 17 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry, Floro is familiar with New York City, working at some of Manhattan’s top hotels including The Pierre, The Carlyle, The St. Regis New York, and The Mark. He began his career at Peninsula Hotels after studying hotel and tourism management at New York University. Floro was most recently Director of Sales & Marketing at The Pierre, where he was responsible for marketing strategies across all disciplines, from traditional and digital marketing to public relations and events.
The Lowell is located on East 63rd Street, between Madison and Park Avenues, just a few blocks from Central Park. The luxury hotel offers spacious suites, luxurious terraces, and concierge services to cater to guest’s needs.
