Veteran mixologist Johnny Swet recently joined OneOneFour Bar & Lounge, The Marmara Park Avenue’s lobby bar. With his appointment, Swet is bringing a new style and menu with him to the bar, including a cocktail menu filled with classics with a twist.
OneOneFour guests (both of the hotel and locals) can expect a modern twist on classic cocktails such as a Dry Oak Manhattan, Cucumber Collins, Bonded Old Fashioned, New York Sour, Pomegranate Moscow Mule, Very Dirty Martini, and Mezcal & Poblano Margarita.
Additionally, the bar has created The Billionaire Martini, in partnership with elit by Stolichnaya, to celebrate the Showtime series "Billions."
The Billionaire Martini:
- 3 oz. elit by Stolichnaya Pristine Water Series Andean Edition
- .5 oz. Raki
Garnish: Edible 24 karat gold flake
Method: Rinse a chilled martini glass with the Raki; then discard
In a mixing glass, stir the elit with ice
Strain into the seasoned glass
The drink comes at a price tag of $500, or can be included in a package for $5,000 with either the three-bedroom or two-bedroom duplex penthouse.
Created by Swet, and unique to Marmara Park Avenue, is the Park Avenue Punch, which is made with Plantation Coconut Rum, Grand Marnier, strawberry puree, lime juice, and orange juice.
Swet’s roster of cocktail menus can also be found at Oscar Wilde, The Rumpus Room, Shorty, Bodega, and Calle Ocho. He is also the creative cocktail director at Fred’s located at Barney’s in Chelsea, the cocktail director at Lillie’s Victorian Establishments and Papillion, and the mixology director at Papaya Playa Project in Tulum, Mexico.
