Looking to 2023 and beyond, The Lux Collective has revealed four projects for its luxury flagship brand LUX*. Travelers seeking cultural heritage and scenic settings can explore the desert of Sharjah, U.A.E. with a duo of openings, LUX* Al Jabal and LUX* Al Bridi. Those seeking a new kind of island life can uncover the jungle-draped coastlines of Luxnam Phu Quoc in Vietnam, while, for those looking to learn about the art de vivre, LUX* Marseillan in southern France will offer guests a beachfront vineyard getaway with panoramic views of the Mediterranean.
New for early 2024, LUX* Al Jabal in Sharjah is a 45-key hillside retreat which will sit atop the beaches of Khorfakkan and Luluya, overseeing the Gulf of Oman with jagged mountains. Set within a crescent-shaped bay, Khorfakkan draws scuba-divers and beach lovers to its sandy shores and corals. The boutique-style beach resort is sprawled across 19 hectares of land. Its curated menus include the signature “Keen On Green” wholesome vegan cuisine. It will have one- to three-bedroom suites, besides a royal suite complete with a private pool and butler service. Guests can enjoy private beach access, dining options, signature spa and wellness treatments, besides activities and experiences to connect with the local culture and community.
Completing the duo of openings in Sharjah is LUX* Al Bridi which will overlook 1,690 hectares of conservation in the Sharjah safari project in the city of Al Dhaid. Home to over 50,000 animals, including the native mountain gazelles, the park has a lake and will offer a range of dining outlets as well as a safari camp led by guides. LUX* Al Bridi will offer 35 tented safari-style private retreats, a LUX* ME Spa and a discovery center to participate in conservation-focused initiatives in collaboration with the Environment and Protected Areas Authority. Children can learn about farm animals with interactive, educational activities at the nearby Al Dhaid Farm, a petting zoo. Other activities include dune surfing, four-wheel drive excursions and stargazing under the Arabian skies.
Opening in late 2024, Luxnam Phu Quoc will be an overwater resort on the island of Phu Quoc off the coast of Vietnam. The 126-key, villa-only resort will consist of two areas connected by a 14-mile-long jetty over the lagoon. Offering guests a choice of 109 over-water villas (most with private pools), 13 beach pool villas, two penthouses and two beachfront pool mansions, it will also have several restaurants, a spa, fitness center, four swimming pools and a playground. Luxnam Phu Quoc is ideal for those seeking slow living, a holistic approach to well-being and creative dining options.
In 2024, The Lux Collective will also turn its head to Europe with the opening of LUX* Marseillan in France. Set between the Pyrenees and Provence, bordering the saltwater lake of Thau and the Mediterranean Sea is the beachfront vineyard where the resort will be built. Inspired by the traditional architecture of farmhouses, the resort will combine sea, sun, spa and wine, with more details to be revealed in due course.
The Lux Collective manages a portfolio of 16 resorts and hotels in China, Maldives, Mauritius and Ile de la Reunion. There are 11 more hotels in the pipeline, slated to open in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
