Hilton has announced the opening of Ka La’i Waikīkī Beach, LXR Hotels & Resorts. Set in the center of Waikīkī, Honolulu, the 462-room hotel is owned by Irongate and managed by LXR Hotels & Resorts. Located just above Fort DeRussy Park with views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head, the hotel is just steps from Waikīkī Beach and surrounded by restaurants, shopping, entertainment and nightlife.
Ka La’i Waikīkī Beach spans 38 stories and has residential-style guestrooms and suites, not to mention a wellness facility, 24-hour fitness center, an infinity pool with an expansive sun deck, and two signature restaurants in addition to in-room dining and in-suite chef services. Guests can also avail themselves of a variety of beach services and amenities, a 24-hour business center and library. There are also five indoor and outdoor venues and event spaces.
Next year, the property will embark on an interior architecture and design renovation led by the Bryan O’Sullivan Studio. Scheduled to begin in early 2025 and planned in phases over several months, the renovation will encompass upgrades to guestrooms and suites, public areas, including lobbies, pool areas, spa, fitness center, landscaping and interiors. In addition, the property’s signature restaurants will be redesigned, and the destination restaurant on the ground floor will soon be home to an internationally acclaimed restaurateur and chef.
The design will integrate elements such as stained glass laylights, traditional carving techniques and a bespoke furniture collection, along with updates aimed at modernizing the building systems.
