There’s a palatial new pad in Geneva offering panoramic views over the Old Town, the River Rhône, and the snow-capped Alps beyond. Perched on the 7th floor, the hotel’s highest floor, the new Royal Penthouse is the jewel of the Mandarin Oriental, Geneva. The luxury hotel recently unveiled its newest signature suite, with amenities meant for entertaining. No need to go out to dinner when there’s an enormous landscaped terrace measuring more than 1,880 square feet. (A party on the terrace can be catered via the suite’s pantry.) Or why not host a movie night in the suite’s sound-proofed entertainment room? It’s got all the latest audio-visual equipment…
The Royal Penthouse itself measures nearly 3,500 square feet, making it one of the largest suites in Geneva. BUZ Design created the interiors, mapping out an open-plan suite with a color scheme reflecting the four seasons. While the master bedroom is all about spring, the living room is decorated with autumn colors, and the entertainment room has winter hues. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, framing views of the city. There are a total of three bedrooms, and the master bedroom comes with a hammam shower. Note that the Royal Penthouse can be combined with the Royal Suite on the sixth floor, via a connecting private lift, to form the "Imperial Residence”— a six-bedroom suite.
A number of amenities can be arranged for guests of the Royal Penthouse. These include return transfers from the airport, packing and unpacking services, an in-suite mixology session, and an in-suite tasting of signature dishes from the hotel's restaurants, Yakumanka and Rasoi by Vineet-- prepared by a private chef. Farther afield, the Mandarin Oriental, Geneva can arrange insider tours of famous Swiss watchmakers, or a trip by private plane to enjoy a picnic near Mont Blanc.
