New Luxury Hotel Opening in Romania This Fall

Matca is a new hotel slated to open this fall in Romania. The property offers 16 guestrooms and junior suites, plus 10 villas, overlooking the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains. Guestrooms are located in two traditional Transylvanian farmhouses, each one with an inner courtyard offering access to deluxe rooms and junior suites. The villas have private porches affording mountain views.

Towering atop a hillock, offering indoor and outdoor seating, the restaurant Stup affords views of the Bucegi Mountains. The chef will showcase Transylvanian cuisine prepared with locally sourced, seasonal produce. A selection of mainly Romanian wines will also be available. Nectar, the bar will offer up a selection of cocktails and local beverages; guests can enjoy drinks from noon till late either at the bar, in the living room or in the hotel’s gardens.

The Ambrozie Spa affords views into nature while offering a comfortable setting. Treatment rooms offer the same stunning nature views, ensuring a fully immersive and relaxing experience.
