Craving a wellness wine vacation? Head to Meadowood Napa Valley. The resort has over 300 vintner members who own top wineries in Napa Valley.
Currently Meadowood is offering a Wine & Wellness Retreat, where guests learn about biodynamic and organic wines — available in three- and five-night packages. The wellness-first retreat incorporates wine tasting from ADAMVS, Ehlers Estate and Clif Family Winery, the resort’s partners.
All packages include accommodations, wine tastings, special pricing on spa services, spa treatments and lunches, private fitness activities, a bike excursion and unlimited group fitness classes. Guests also receive nutritional coaching (with a follow-up meeting) and cooking classes, rounding out the “wellness” aspect. Non-wine-related activities include croquet lessons, private aqua fitness classes, eco fitness hikes and more.
Guests of Meadowood also have access to the Estate Sommelier who can curate itineraries to include the most exclusive wineries for meetings with the proprietors and vintners, visits to the Meadowood Gardens to prepare a meal with fresh ingredients or learning how to craft a signature cocktail — all with Meadowood’s sommeliers, chefs and mixologists.
To organize a private itinerary or “Wish List” for a guest, advisors can contact Danielle Lucas (dlucas@meadowood.com), director of strategic partnerships.
The Hill House is Meadowood’s newest and top accommodation. Nice Touch: The home’s bedroom has a large window overlooking the hills and floor-to-ceiling pocket doors that open onto the living room, which has a stone hearth and sectional sofa. The bathroom has dual vanities, a deep soaking tub and a standing shower. Outside, a terrace is furnished with a sofa and a fire pit. A second deck has its own chaise lounge chairs, fire pit, soaking tub and outdoor shower.
VIPs can opt for butler service for the Estates, which includes a dedicated villa host, unpacking service, 24-hour room service, a personal concierge, in-room bar, laundry and pressing service, and airport transfers.
Meadowood hosts a tasting of Napa Valley wines each afternoon — typically one red and one white; on Fridays, guests share sparkling wine, discussions and stories.
The Chef’s Counter at The Restaurant at Meadowood is an exclusive dinner, hosted in the kitchen. Guests are immersed in the service itself, and reservations must be made up to three months in advance. Note: Food allergies and dietary restrictions are not accommodated for this experience.
The high season for Meadowood is May through mid-November; however, weekends in Napa are almost always busy.
