Mondrian Park Avenue in New York City is now open. The luxury lifestyle hotel is designed not just for staying the night, but to also be a space for dining, nightlife and art. With its location nearby Madison Square Park, the Flatiron District and the Empire State Building, guests will be connected some of the city’s top attractions. The property is managed by Journal Hotels and licensed from SBE Entertainment Group (stylized as "sbe").
The 189-room hotel has contemporary style guestrooms and suites. For the ultimate experience, the 1,300-square-foot Piet Suite offers the look and feel of a modern Manhattan residence with two bedrooms, a separate living room and dining area, wet bar, large private balconies, and other luxury amenities.
On-property dining locations include Cleo restaurant, sbe’s award-winning culinary concept headed by Chef Danny Elmaleh that showcases a modern twist on Eastern and Southern Mediterranean cuisine. Also on property is Fifteen Stories, a rooftop lounge and outdoor terrace with music and other nightly events with drinks and small bites. The space will also be open during the day. Additionally, Yours Truly is an exclusive subterranean nightclub with a hidden entrance.
Art throughout he building include a statement piece by Ara Starck in the foyer and check-in desk as well as other pieces throughout guestrooms and suites.
The property was originally built in 1918 as a 15-story office building. Five floors have since been added during the hotel conversion.
