In Napa: Estate Yountville's Renovated Vintage House and Hotel Villagio

Attention oenophiles looking for some good news from Northern California: The Estate Yountville, a 22-acre compound in California’s wine country, sustained no damage in this year’s wildfires. It has also unveiled its redesigned Vintage House. Following in spring, Hotel Villagio will reopen with its own renovations.

Vintage House’s rustic-yet-elegant, bungalow-style rooms have wood-burning fireplaces, white clapboard headboard walls and either a private patio or balcony. Bathrooms have oversized tubs or dual showers. We love the minibar and safe unit custom-designed to look like a turn-of-the-century travel trunk. In addition to the guestrooms, the pool area and lobby were also transformed. In the lobby,  guests will find two-story windows, walnut floors and white Carrera marble accents.

Vintage House Suite has bungalow-style rooms.

When Hotel Villagio, its pool and The Villa reopen, it will offer a more contemporary vibe than its sister hotel. The lobby will have dark woods and stone, as well as industrial metal lighting. Hotel Villagio guestrooms will have streamlined fireplaces, terraces, hand-knotted rugs and mahogany headboards. Bathrooms will have freestanding soaking tubs.

The Estate Yountville also includes the V Marketplace, a retail shopping and dining complex in the former Groezinger Winery; a spa and two event venues perfect for weddings and the like.

The Estate is located in the center of Yountville and is walking distance from some of the nation’s top restaurants and wineries.
