Opening in May as the first hotel in Denver’s up-and-coming RiNo (River North Art District) neighborhood is The Ramble Hotel. The locally owned and operated hotel takes much of its inspiration from 17th-century Paris. Even the name was derived from Madame Rambouillet, a society hostess and a major figure in French literature. Founder Ryan Diggins says the name “ramble” is also fitting because of its alternate definition, “to wander,” which is just how he wants guests to explore the neighborhood (Lonely Planet likens it to the burgeoning neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn).
The hotel will be the second location of New York City-based Death & Co., an upscale cocktail bar. Here, they will be operating four F&B options, expanding far beyond the elegant drinks they’re kown for. Death & Co. Denver will offer a food menu, cocktails and table service; DC/AM will be a coffee shop-style option; The Garden is an outdoor space with Middle Eastern- and Israeli-inspired cuisine; and Suite 6A will best resmeble the New York version of the bar.
The 50 guestrooms, which open with brass keys (leather key pouch included!), will offer fun amenities such as French press coffee makers (with measured, pre-ground and dated coffee grinds) and a Death & Co.-curated bar. Deep, blue walls, built-in vanities and antique Parisian rugs create the ambiance of a French salon. High-tech amenities include 50-inch HDTVs and a Victrola Bluetooth gramophone speaker.
To bring RiNo’s artists to the hotel, there will also be a flexible theater space named Vauxhall, which will host movie screenings, live shows, comedy, art exhibitions and more.
Good to know: Located adjacent to the hotel, but accessible from inside, is Super Mega Bien, a pan-Latin restaurant led by James Beard-nominated chef Dana Rodriguez. Hotel guests will receive priority reservations. Contact Caroline Czirr, Director of Room Sales, at cczirr@theramblehotel.com.
