For those whose mottos are “will travel for food,” the Doyle Collection has some exciting news. The hotel group has announced the addition and extension of multiple food-themed offerings at their hotels in London and Dublin.
Just off Gafton Street in the heart of Dublin is Wilde at The Westbury hotel. The restaurant has partnered with renowned champagne house, Krug to create an exclusive dining experience. From now until September 30, diners can take part in a two or three-course meal and champagne pairing. Highlights of the menu include specialties like Dublin bay prawns, rack of Irish spring lamb, and baked Alaska. The three-course meal starts at for €189 (approximately $227).
Or for an authentic tea experience, The Gallery at The Westbury has created creating The Art of Millinery Afternoon Tea available through October 1. The property’s executive pastry chef Ray Encarnacion has raised the bar on afternoon tea, and even paired it with some high-end wine.
The offer begins at €47 per person (approximately $56), or €59 per person (approximately $71) with Perrier Jouet or Perrier Jouet Rose and €80 (approximately $96) with Dom Perignon. For the full experience, the An Art of Millinery Overnight Experience is also available from €438 (approximately $525), subject to availability, and includes accommodations as well as the tea.
For even more of a twist on the classic tea setting, Town House at The Kensington London has extended its Tale as Old as Time Afternoon Tea until June 30, 2018, due to popular demand.
The tea is inspired by the classic film, Beauty and the Beast and features Mrs Potts and Chip dishware as well as small bites inspired by the film. The offer is available for £35 (approximately $46) or £45 (approximately $59) with a glass of champagne. It is served every day from 12 to 6 p.m. And during December, the tea will have a festive holiday twist to it for £38.50 (approximately $56) or £50 (approximately $65) with a glass of champagne.
New York’s popular bar The Dead Rabbit is coming to Dublin. The Westbury’s new bar called Sidecar will host a pop-up of the Speakeasy-themed location. Irish owners Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry will share recipes from The Dead Rabbit’s cocktail menu, which will be located off The Gallery of the hotel. The pop-up will be around from September 28 through October 2.
