When Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France reopens for the season in December 2019, it will show off 19 new rooms and suites by designer Jacques Grange and an exclusive new villa. Called the Villa de France, this five-bedroom residence is kitted out with an infinity pool, private spa, fitness room, dining room and kitchen. It’s serviced by a butler and comes with private access to Flamands Beach.
What’s more, the hotel will be showing off a new restaurant, La Case, by celebrity chef Jean Imbert. Since winning Season 3 of Top Chef France in 2012, Imbert has appeared regularly on TV culinary shows while overseeing kitchens in both France and the U.S. (notably Swan and Bar Bevy with Pharrell Williams and David Grutman in Miami). The cuisine at La Case will be inspired by the ingredients of the surrounding Caribbean islands: Responsibly harvested fish, tropical fruit and chocolate, plus locally cultivated vegetables, spices and herbs. A nice perk for diners: Enjoying these dishes served on an exclusive collection of Dior tableware designed by chef Imbert.
Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France was the first luxury hotel outside of Metropolitan France to be recognized with the prestigious “palace” distinction. Meanwhile, sister property Cheval Blanc Saint-Tropez, a conversion of the legendary Résidence de la Pinède, was just awarded “palace” status by Atout France. 2020 will see the highly anticipated Cheval Blanc arrive in Paris, housed inside the legendary La Samaritaine department store. Developed by LVMH Hotel Management, the Cheval Blanc brand first got its start in Courchevel in 2006.
