Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard Bucharest, an all-suite boutique luxury hotel in Romania’s capital, has officially opened its doors to welcome guests.
Originally inaugurated in 1873, the former Grand Hotel du Boulevard was the first in the city to have electric lights and an elevator. It is now a national monument, recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Culture. With only 30 suites, the hotel offers an intimate, residential atmosphere in a palatial setting. Guests can expect bespoke furnishings, modern amenities and artwork in each of the suites, as well as expansive windows.
Corinthia Bucharest is home to three F&B options, including Sass’ Restaurant & Lounge, Boulevard 73 and Heritage Bar. Sass’ Restaurant & Lounge is an extension of Sass’ Café Monaco, serving Mediterranean fare in a baroque-style space. Hosting resident DJs from evening to night. Boulevard 73 occupies the former grand ballroom and sports ornate ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Rooted in a farm-to-table philosophy, the restaurant offers a culinary experience blending French and Romanian cuisines. Besides daily afternoon tea service, Heritage Bar offers a signature cocktail menu inspired by the city’s history.
Corinthia Spa, Bucharest, comprises a relaxation room, a fully equipped gym and two private treatment rooms. Guests can enjoy signature thermal experiences, including the White Sauna with Himalayan salt walls and aromatic infusions, the custom steam bath with heated benches and a starry-skied ceiling, an ice fountain and the multi-sensory experience shower with aromatherapy and dynamic water patterns.
Good to know: The hotel has established partnerships with local artists, performances and institutions, as well as heli-bear spotting day trips to the nearby Carpathian Mountains, offering exclusive access to the city’s artistic and historical treasures, and beyond.
