NYC’s The Hotel Chelsea Joins The Leading Hotels of the World

The Hotel Chelsea has joined The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW), a collection of independent, luxury hotels. With a nine-decade-long commitment to providing uncommon travel experiences, LHW only selects members that meet its high standards for quality and distinctiveness. The result is a curated portfolio of hotels united not by what makes them the same, but the details that make them different.

The Hotel Chelsea, the iconic New York landmark, reopened in 2022 following an extensive renovation that updated the property while preserving its historic character. Originally built in 1884 and known for its long history of housing artists, musicians and writers, each room tells a story. A refined mix of comfort and character, guestrooms and suites feature marble bathrooms, plush monogrammed bedding, custom furnishings, locally sourced mini-bar, Marshall Bluetooth wireless speakers and thoughtfully curated artwork that reflects the hotel’s creative heritage. Select rooms feature deep soaking tubs, as well as balconies overlooking a bustling 23rd Street and the iconic neon sign. The property includes four culinary concepts along with a rooftop spa, gym and garden terrace.

Leaders Club is LHW’s complimentary loyalty program for The Hotel Chelsea. With Leaders Club, members enjoy personalized service and exclusive travel benefits that help guests make the most of their stays at LHW’s over 400 independent luxury properties worldwide. These benefits include points toward free nights, complimentary breakfast, pre-arrival upgrade opportunities, early check-in/late check-out considerations, access to exclusive events, members-only rates and offers, and more.
