The Oberoi, Marrakech has launched SAHA, a holistic wellness program. Four cornerstones form the foundation of the program; these include "Soul & Spirit," "Active Body," "Holistic Treatments" and "A Better Plate."
The SAHA experience provides guests with personalized wellness plans. Guests can choose from a three- to seven-night program, which includes a stay in a deluxe villa with a private pool, along with treatments, therapies and activities from the four cornerstones. Those who extend to the five- to seven-day program will benefit from additional therapies such as horse whispering, a practice that, according to the hotel, helps guests understand themselves better. Hypersensitive and endowed with emotional and relational intelligence, horses react spontaneously and instantly, acting as an emotional barometer, or a mirror that reflects humans’ emotional being.
Guests embarking on this holistic well-being journey will be able to do so within The Oberoi, Marrakech’s 20 acres of landscaped gardens, citrus orchards, centuries-old olive groves and views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains.
The SAHA program’s four cornerstones include:
- "Soul & Spirit" — The resort’s gardens set the perfect environment to discover inner peace, be it through sunrise yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, meditation sessions, discovering botanical wisdom with the help of the resort’s resident landscape gardener, discovering a host of mindfulness activities or experiencing a good night’s rest via the hotel’s sleep therapy program. Guests can ease into a good night’s sleep with a Posturepedic mattress, a signature pillow menu, relaxing teas, a sleep monitoring machine and aromatherapy pillow sprays.
- "Active Body" — Daily activities include Cross Training, Float Fit HIIT, Cardio Boxing and Circuit Training with a fitness trainer. Guests can play tennis on the resort’s clay court or choose from three golf courses, all located within five minutes of the resort. Complimentary activities include morning runs with a fitness coach; Muscle Reinforcement Workouts; Cross Training combining aerobic and body weight exercises; Cardio Boxing; Body Stretching sessions; outdoor Circuit Training and strolls in the resort’s nature trails.
- "Holistic Treatments" — The Oberoi Spa spans 21,530 square feet and sits on a private island built around a maze garden. Facilities include a rejuvenation room, a yoga room with an al fresco pavilion for complimentary group yoga sessions or private instruction, a fitness center, indoor temperature-controlled swimming pool, a spa boutique and a beauty salon. The spa offers Ayurvedic and Moroccan-inspired therapies besides hammams and signature treatments.
- "A Better Plate" — The hotel’s culinary team and consulting nutritionist, Magalie Paillard, have worked together to create balanced and nutritious dishes using fresh local, seasonal produce, herbs and olive oils. Coaching sessions with Paillard are also available.
