Oetker Collection’s Jumby Bay Island, the hospitality brand’s newest property, opens its doors today, October 9, for the 2017-18 season.
The 300-acre private island resort, located two miles from Antigua, will join Eden Rock – St Barth’s as Oetker Collection’s second location in the Caribbean. Previously, Jumby Bay was under the management of Rosewood, but changed hands earlier this year.
As the new operator of Jumby Bay, Oetker Collection will manage the island’s 40-room resort, along with its 50 individually designed, fully staffed villa and estate home rentals.
“It is with great pleasure that the board of directors and homeowners of Jumby Bay Island welcome Oetker Collection as the manager of our resort. We look forward to a long and productive partnership,” said Dennis McNeill, chairman of the board, Jumby Bay Island Company.
Jumby Bay Island’s villas and estates offer up to nine bedrooms with the most direct private beach access. The resort has three white sand beaches, three restaurants, a spa, fitness facilities, water sports, two pools and five tennis courts.
Guests can also take part in one of Jumby Bay’s Estate Home experiences, a collection of vacation itineraries that include guided tours, private classes, active excursions, exclusive parties, and more in one of its estates.
With the addition of Jumby Bay, Oetker Collection has expanded its portfolio to 10 properties, which include L’Apogée Courchevel, Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, Le Bristol Paris, Château Saint-Martin & Spa, Eden Rock – St Barths, Fregate Island Private, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, The Lanesborough, and Palácio Tangará.
