The Dorchester Collection to Open New Hotel in Dubai

Omniyat has announced the planned launch of The Alba, Dorchester Collection, Dubai slated to open in 2028. The mixed-use "garden retreat" by the sea is valued at AED7 billion (approximately $1.9 billion). The announcement was made at the recently concluded Monaco Yacht Show.

Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, The Alba, Dorchester Collection, Dubai will offer a blend of beachfront hospitality and residential experiences. Located on the Eastern Crescent of Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, The Alba will offer views of Dubai Marina, Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa. The hotel will have interiors and suites designed by Gilles & Boissier, complemented by the signature service of the Dorchester Collection.

The residences range from two-bedroom furnished and three-bedroom unfurnished units to three- or four-bedroom simplex and duplex units, as well as penthouses. Each residence will have a private pool, outdoor jacuzzi and an elevated sun platform, all placed on an expansive outdoor terrace.

In addition to The Alba Residences’ amenities, which include pools with private cabanas and sun loungers and social gathering and entertainment areas, residents can also enjoy those of the hotel, including infinity pools, vitality pools, a fitness suite, culinary options, beach areas and a spa. The wellness center will be operated by a global brand partner set to be announced next year.

The Alba will become the twelfth Dorchester Collection hotel globally and the second in the Middle East region, with the first being The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai. The Alba is also the seventh residential property to be managed by Dorchester Collection in Dubai.
