Tanzania got itself a new luxury safari camp when One Nature Nyaruswiga, Serengeti opened mid-January.
The camp is situated near the heart of Serengeti National Park, which offers views of the Great Migration, Seronera River, Retina Hippo Pool and Maasai Kopjes.
Safari options include: Safari Game Drives, which search for Africa’s Big Five, wildebeest, zebras, antelope, giraffes, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles and primates; Private Photographic Safaris, which use vehicles specifically modified to accommodate the necessary equipment; Balloon Safaris, which give guests a bird’s-eye view from a hot air balloon; and Manyara Canopy Walks, where guests can spot 350 species of birds from tree-level; in addition to walking tours to the Mara River, Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge and Manyara Village.
One Nature Nyaruswiga, Serengeti has 14 tents propped up by African eucalyptus poles capped with custom brass crowns. All tents have emperor-sized beds with mosquito nets, European pure white goose down duvets and Egyptian cotton linens, a walk-in closet, a wood-burning stove, a private bar stocked with premium liquor and spirits, a vintage desk, an eco-friendly vanity kit (bamboo toothbrush included) and Wi-Fi.
Good to know: Tents come in two varieties, Luxury Tents and Family Tents, which accommodate two and four people, respectively.
In camp, there is a two-level, heated infinity pool, a large Jacuzzi and an Astral Observation platform with a 1200 mm Dobsonian telescope with 508x magnification to watch the moonlit skies.
Fun Fact: The camp is powered by a smart hybrid solar power system.
